Joe DeCamillis leaves Dallas Cowboys for Chicago Bears

The shakeup on the Dallas Cowboys' coaching staff is expected to continue.

Dan Pompeii of the Chicago Tribune reported Wednesday that longtime Cowboys special teams coach Joe DeCamillis will be the Bears' new assistant head coach and special teams coach. DeCamillis also interviewed for the Bears' top spot before the team boldly chose CFL coach Marc Trestman.

Multiple reports suggest the Cowboys have not given permission for DeCamillis to leave yet. They blocked a potential lateral move to the Oakland Raiders last year, but that's not expected to happen again, according to The Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

The Cowboys already have said goodbye to defensive coordinator Rob Ryan and running backs coach Skip Peete. Jason Garrett's brother, John, appears to be getting forced out as well. This drawn-out process is making for a nervous month in Dallas.

UPDATE: DeCamillis confirmed to ESPNChicago.com that he took the Bears job, and the team officially announced the hire Wednesday night.
