After his meeting with general manager Ozzie Newsome and vice president of football administration Pat Moriarty, Linta reiterated that neither side has a set date by which the extension must be completed.
"It was a good meeting," Joe Linta told the Times. "We'll keep working. There's no deadline. It's always good talking with Ozzie and Pat. Those guys are pros."
Linta said the talks have maintained a positive tone.
"We never leave here mad," Linta said. "It's never acrimonious."
Flacco is set to earn a $6.76 million base salary in the final year of his rookie contract. He threw for yards 3,610 yards and 20 touchdowns with 11 interceptions in helping lead the Ravens to the AFC championship game last year.
