Johnny Manziel doesn't impress Ron Jaworski

The question after the NFL Scouting Combine on Johnny Manziel was which team with a top-five pick would take him. If ESPN analyst/former NFL quarterback Ron Jaworski was doing the drafting, Manziel wouldn't go in the first three rounds.

Jaworski told WPEN-FM in Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon that "I wouldn't take him in the first three rounds. That's my opinion. It's incomplete right now. But he has not done a whole lot to me."

Jaworski told the station he had seen five games' worth of tape on Manziel.

The Eagles met with Manziel at the combine and Jaworski told WPEN it was smart to gather as much information on players as possible. But Jaworski also said he was "a big believer" in current Eagles starter Nick Foles.

The Eagles pick 22nd in the first round and don't appear to have any pressing first-round need for an offensive player. Manziel likely will be gone by then anyway. And that would be fine with Jaworski.

"I'm not crazy about him, to be honest with you," said Jaworski, who was an Eagles quarterback from 1977-86.

Four teams that draft in the top five need a quarterback: Houston at No. 1, Jacksonville at No. 3, Cleveland at No. 4 and Oakland at No. 5. Manziel seems extremely likely to be off the board no later than No. 5. But the team that selects him will be bucking history. Manziel measured 5-foot-11¾ at the combine, and NFL Network's Chris Rose has reported that no sub-6-foot quarterback has gone in the first round since 1953.
