Jones-Drew says knee will be 100 percent within four weeks

Maurice Jones-Drew's rehab from knee surgery is nearly complete, with the Jacksonville Jaguars running back telling SiriusXM NFL Radio on Friday evening that he'll be 100 percent within three to four weeks, according to a report on profootballtalk.com.

Jones-Drew listed himself at 80-85 percent after January's surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.

The five-year veteran was hampered by knee pain for most of last season, but still managed to rumble for 1,324 yards and five touchdowns. Jones-Drew had the knee drained the night before a key Week 14 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts and, following that loss, shut it down for the final two games. He was selected to his second Pro Bowl for his efforts.

Jones-Drew told the radio station in April that he was already running on the knee.

Jacksonville selected Jones-Drew in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft out of UCLA. He burst onto the scene with 941 yards and 13 rushing touchdowns in his rookie season and has topped 1,300 yards in back-to-back campaigns in 2009 and 2010.
