Breer: More than just RGIII
Though led by one player, the Redskins' rebirth has involved the transformation of the entire team, Albert Breer says. **More ...**
RGIII won't play until Week 1 at the earliest, and his backup, Kirk Cousins, has been ruled inactive against the Bills after spraining his right foot in Monday night's 24-13 preseason win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team announced.
Cousins has yet to practice, but he's already shed his walking boot, so we'd expect him to be ready for Week 1.
Manuel's status is no surprise after he underwent a scheduled knee procedure Sunday. The Bills hope he'll be ready for the season opener, but the timetable for the first-round draft pick's return is hazy. Not unlike the play of Kolb.
