Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford suffered an ankle injury early in Saturday's 47-7 loss to the Buccaneers and did not return.
The injury occurred on third-and-3 during Detroit's first drive. Facing pressure from Bucs linebacker Lavonte David, Stafford managed to complete a short pass to Danny Amendola before appearing to twist his ankle.
Stafford hobbled to the sidelines and then the locker room shortly thereafter. He was initially deemed questionable prior to Detroit's halftime announcement.
Chase Daniel took over the offense to begin the team's second drive of the afternoon.
Stafford completed two of three pass attempts for 17 yards prior to exiting. Daniel went 13-of-18 for 86 yards before getting pulled in favor of David Blough at the start of the fourth.
Blough finished the day 6-of-10 for 49 yards and an interception.
