ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -The Detroit Lions re-signed defensive tackle Cory Redding to a multiyear deal on Monday.
The team put the franchise tag on Redding in February, preventing him from becoming an unrestricted free agent.
Redding emerged as a dominant player for the Lions last year when defensive tackle Shaun Rogers was out of the lineup. He had 37 tackles, including eight sacks, in his fourth season with the team after being drafted out of Texas in 2003.
