Quarterback Matthew Stafford practiced with the first-team offense for a second consecutive day on Friday, and it seems likely he'll start Sunday for the Lions, the Detroit Free Press reported.
Stafford was officially listed as questionable on the Lions' injury report.
Stafford injured his ankle during the Lions' Week 7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons and his status for the Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos was in jeopardy earlier this week. Stafford split snaps with backup Shaun Hill on Wednesday but took over first-team duties on Thursday.
The Free Press also reported Lions rookie defensive tackle Nick Fairley did not practice Friday, and it appears unlikely he'll play against the Broncos. He is listed as doubtful.
Fairley, the 13th-overall draft pick this April, has one tackle in three games for the Lions this year.
Running back Jahvid Best, still recovering from a concussion suffered in Week 6, is out.
