There are lingering questions about the health of Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, but his coach, Jim Schwartz, wasn't in the mood to provide answers on Monday.

"I don't have any comment," Schwartz said, when asked about MRI results on Stafford's strained leg muscle, which sidelined the quarterback in Sunday's overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans.
Schwartz told the Detroit Free Press he would decide by Friday if Stafford would play against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. The coach hasn't determined if third-string rookie passer Kellen Moore will be given reps in practice this week behind backup Shaun Hill.
The injury to Stafford comes on the heels of a disappointing start to the season. He's struggled to extend plays and build rhythm offensively. The 1-2 Lions went into the campaign hoping Stafford would continue from where he left of last year, throwing for 5,000-plus yards and 41 touchdowns.
Detroit must find a way to get back on track against a schedule that doesn't ease up after the Vikings. The Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks come next, and a pair of meetings with the Green Bay Packers sit on the horizon. A healthy and productive Stafford will be needed to survive the storm.
