Brandon Lloyd's agent, Tom Condon, is well aware he isn't the most popular figure around the New England Patriots' facility. That has been the case since a contentious negotiation seven years ago after the Patriots drafted one of Condon's clients, tight end Ben Watson.

But given Lloyd's desire to reunite with new Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, Condon wants the team to know he's able to separate business from his personal feelings, and he's willing to talk if they want to sign his client.
"Both sides know how this works," Condon told the Boston Herald on Wednesday. "If they have an interest, they call up and tell you when free agency starts or they meet you at the combine or whenever. We both know what Brandon is. He's a smart, explosive receiver. He's a player who is going to get offers."
Lloyd went on the record in December, saying his future was tied to that of McDaniels. The former Broncos coach turned Lloyd into one of the NFL's elite receivers when he was with Denver in 2009, and then Lloyd had 51 receptions for 683 yards and five scores over the final 11 games this season after he reunited with McDaniels in St. Louis.
McDaniels rejoined the Patriots during the team's run to the Super Bowl, throwing a wrench into another reunion with Lloyd. The Herald reported the Patriots haven't done a contract with Condon since the Watson deal, though they do have a couple of players represented by Condon's agency, CAA.
"I'd prefer not to rehash things from seven years ago," Condon said. "I may never like them and they may never like me, but I appreciate that they're smart guys who usually get what they want. I usually get what I want, too, and what I want is what my client wants."
"He'd like to be with Josh," Condon said of Lloyd. "He'd also like to get paid. I think he'll be a player teams will be interested in."
