Louisville defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins' Reese's Senior Bowl week has come to a premature end.
Rankins withdrew from the game Thursday with a knee injury. The Senior Bowl game will be broadcast exclusively on NFL Network at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
The severity of his injury is not yet known.
He had been one of the most impressive prospects of the week during practices at the annual all-star game in Mobile, Ala. NFL Media analysts Mike Mayock and Daniel Jeremiah both called him a first-round pick on Wednesday after getting a chance to see him up close.
Jeremiah ranks Rankins 27th among his top 50 prospects for the 2016 NFL Draft.
