Louisville WR DeVante Parker set for pre-draft visit to Cleveland

You would have to go back pretty far to find a time when the Cleveland Browns didn't have a draft need at wide receiver.

The 2015 draft would be no exception, and the team is reportedly bringing in one wideout that many mock drafts have already projected to the Browns with one of their two first-round selections.

Per ESPNCleveland.com's Tony Grossi, Louisville's DeVante Parker will be coming to town for a pre-draft visit with the Browns.

Parker has widely been considered one of the three best players at his position this year and has been slowly moving up draft boards the past several months after finishing his final season with the Cardinals on a flourish.

NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah regards Parker as the eighth-best player in the draft and recently said Parker is "in the discussion" as the No. 1 WR in the draft. Jeremiah also said it would be a dream scenario for the Browns to land somebody of his caliber at either No. 12 or No. 19 in the first round.

"He's a top 10-caliber player," Jeremiah said on NFL Network's "Path to the Draft." "When you look at the teams picking ahead of them, they have some other needs other than wide receiver. There's a chance -- I say 50-50."

Mock drafts tend to agree that it's possible that Parker will be available at the No. 12 pick, but it's certainly no sure thing.

One thing is for certain -- pairing the recently signed Dwayne Bowe with someone of Parker's caliber would significantly upgrade the weapons available for Josh McCown and/or Johnny Manziel.
