Floyd was carted off the field with a neck injury after being sandwiched between safety Nate Allen and linebacker DeMeco Ryans in Sunday's 33-30 Chargers victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
A source told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport that Floyd is out "indefinitely" and will be in a neck brace for at least a week.
Chargers coach Mike McCoy confirmed Monday that Philip Rivers is "unlikely" to have his primary deep threat at the Tennessee Titans in Week 3. Floyd will undergo evaluation and is seeking a second opinion on the injury.
Expect third-round draft pick Keenan Allen to replace Floyd as the "X" receiver. Although the Bolts' 539 yards of offense against the Eagles was their most in a single game since 1985, the offense won't operate at peak strength without Floyd's vertical prowess.
The Titans' revamped defense will pose a much stiffer test than the one Rivers aced in Week 2.
