Seattle will be without their top running back when they take on theMinnesota Vikings.
Marshawn Lynch (abdominal) has been downgraded to out, the Seahawks announced.
Lynch did not travel with the team to Minnesota, according to NFL Media's Steve Wyche.
The nine-year veteran was previously listed as questionable, and all indications were that he would return to action on Sunday. The running back was listed as a full participant for practices Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll announced that Lynch was "ready to go" earlier in the week.
"I really feel like it's going to be just fine," an optimistic Carroll said on Monday.
Seattle will now go forward with Christine Michael and Bryce Brown in the backfield.
Lynch has not played in a game since Nov. 15. He underwent abdomen surgery on Nov. 25. The running back has only appeared in seven games this season, and has just 111 carries for 417 yards.
