USA Today reported on a study that found Alzheimer's disease might be connected to concussions in some people.
The study used a new technology that allows brain scans in living humans to measure the buildup of beta amyloid, a protein associated with Alzheimer's.
Lipton said the study shows not every head injury leads to Alzheimer's. He said this knowledge could help prevent long-term damage, especially with some drugs that are in the development stage.
