Rock star Melissa Ethridge, you may have heard of her. Remember her hits, "I'm the Only One" and "Come to My Window"? Who am I kidding. Of course you have.
She grew up in Kansas and has been an avid Chiefs fan since she was little girl. Back in September she tweeted that quarterback Alex Smith might be the only man she wants to write a love song to.
Well it's happened. She went on Good Morning Football to debut her song called "Alex Smith, I Love You."
Here are the lyrics:
"Alex Smith, I love you, yea. You're my kind of guy. I know that sounds a little strange cause I'm not even bi. I grew up in Kansas with Chiefs deep in my blood and I've seen some wins and losses in the snow, the rain and mud. I've even watched our Super Bowl sitting on my daddy's knee. You know we've never even been there again since 1970. So Alex Smith I love you and you're gonna win it big with Tyreek and Travis and Eric and Justin, you've even got the hungry pig. So Alex babe don't worry. My wife she isn't caring cause while I'm into you, my love, she's so into Aaron. Alex Smith, I love you. No other man for me. Now wait, maybe there is one more, his name is Andy Reid."
Not sure if the team will be blasting this one in the locker room before they play the Steelers in the Divisional Round on Sunday, but at least the fans can have some fun with it. Those are some catchy lyrics. After awhile the song kind of gets stuck in your head. Don't be surprised if you're singing it by the end of the day. You have been warned.
