Football fans across the land were brought to their knees by Odell Beckham's catch for the ages against the Cowboys. His former college quarterback, though, says it was no big deal.
"He's had better," Titans rookie and one-time LSU teammate Zach Mettenberger said Wednesday of the Giants receiver, per ESPN.com. "Both him and (Dolphins and former LSU wideout) Jarvis Landry. That was not a surprise for anyone who's been around those two guys for the last three years."
We'd need to see it to believe it, but Mettenberger insists that Beckham's otherworldly athleticism -- which drew a fascinating comparison from Around The NFL's Chris Wesseling -- was on display daily in Baton Rouge.
"Trust me," Mettenberger said. "If you could get your hands on some of the practice film from LSU, you would see what I'm talking about."
It's another reminder that Beckham's moment of magic was just the start of what promises to be an outrageous career in Gotham.
