The overhaul at wide receiver rages on in Miami.
The team announced Thursday that Greg Jennings signed a two-year contract. The deal is worth $8 million, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday.
After trading the cantankerous Mike Wallace and parting ways with Brian Hartline, the Dolphins needed veteran help. Jennings now joins a wideout group that includes young Jarvis Landry (22), Rishard Matthews (25) and Kenny Stills (23). Miami also landed former Browns tight end Jordan Cameron this offseason.
The days of Jennings operating as a game-changing wideout are over. The 31-year-old target has lost his speed, but he knows Dolphins coach Joe Philbin from their time together in Green Bay. For a late-April signing, Jennings gives the 'Fins a solid dose of depth.
