Vick was not at Philadelphia Eagles practice Wednesday as he recovers from his concussion, but coach Andy Reid said he wasn't ruling out the quarterback. Vick's headaches have subsided, which is a positive. Nick Foles will get the starter snaps at practice, which says it all.
Reid indicated earlier in the week that Vick suffered a "significant" concussion, so we'd be stunned if he played. The Eagles' season essentially is over, and it's a perfect time to get a look at what rookie quarterback Nick Foles could do in Reid's system, at least while Reid's system still exists in Philadelphia.
When asked if Vick would play again this season, Reid replied, "Yeah, I think so. I've just got to see. I don't know that," according to NFL.com and NFL Network's Kimberly Jones.
UPDATE: Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin told Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer that he spoke to Vick on Tuesday, though the two players didn't discuss when the quarterback would be back. "He wasn't in la-la land," Maclin said of Vick.
