Mike Zimmer has watched his Minnesota Vikings get outscored 59-13 and outclassed in all three phases of the game in the past two weeks.
The first-time head coach has seen enough. After Sunday's17-3 loss to the Detroit Lions, Zimmer called out his team for their actions both on and off the field.
"We're undisciplined," Zimmer said, per The Star Tribune. "Trust me we're going to get disciplined."
The coach pointed to tardiness for meetings and other team-related activities that he believes led to the disorderly play that plagued his club.
"I'm just saying some of the things we're doing led to undisciplined play, and we've got to change a lot of these things," Zimmer said. "I had to fine a lot more guys this week for whatever reason -- missing a meeting, late to a meeting, whatever -- so I'm not going to let them slide. I'm going to keep pounding my head and like I told them, the fines are going to start going to the max now. I'm tired of it."
Could he fine his offensive line for being crappy? Because that also really killed any chance the Vikings had for success on the field Sunday.
One aspect of his team that most disappointed Zimmer was that he didn't see any resiliency or fight these past two games.
"I've been around an awful lot of teams and you know it bothers me a little bit when some things happen bad and we don't fight our way out of the hole," Zimmer said, per KSTP-AM. "That's what good teams do and we haven't done that yet. Things are going good, we're pretty good. Things are going bad, we don't continue to push out, fight out."
