- Los Angeles Chargers wideout Mike Williams, who left practice with his arm hanging, has a shoulder sprain and is considered week-to-week, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed. His collarbone is intact. At this point, his timeline to return -- and status for the opener -- is not yet determined, Rapoport added.
- Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyrell Williams has a torn labrum in his shoulder, Rapoport reported, per sources. He’s going to try to play through it after rehabbing for a few weeks, Rapoport added. The Raiders announced they have signed defensive end Chris Smith, who was released by the Panthers last month after playing two seasons with the Browns. Las Vegas waived/injured linebacker Nick Usher and waived running back William Stanback.
- Washington Football Team defensive end Chase Young was back in individual drills on Monday. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft is dealing with a hip flexor.
- Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson returned to practice Monday after missing the previous two sessions with a groin injury. Cornerback Marcus Peters, who's been dealing with a soft-tissue injury, also returned.
- Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll announced defensive end Branden Jackson is back in the building and in meetings after leaving Saturday's practice in an ambulance following a helmet-to-helmet hit. Carroll added that "nothing was really injured" and Jackson is "just recovering from such a big smack." He is expected to be out of practice for a little while. Carroll also announced that wideout Phillip Dorsett has a sore foot and won't practice today.
- Arizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake was spotted in a walking boot Monday, but coach Kliff Kingsbury downplayed the issue following practice. The Cards waived defensive back Duke Thomas.
- The New England Patriots have re-signed veteran kicker Nick Folk and signed rookie defensive lineman Michael Barnett, the team announced. Former Buccaneers and Titans offensive tackle Kevin Pamphile has a workout with New England, per Rapoport.
- Denver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon is back at practice after missing Friday's due to a rib injury. Coach Vic Fangio told reporters linebacker Justin Strnad is out for the season after having surgery on his dislocated wrist.
- Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander, tight end Marcedes Lewis, and linebacker Za'Darius Smith returned to practice.
- Kansas City Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill was limited at practice. He's been dealing with a hamstring injury. Former 49ers center Daniel Kilgore is visiting Kansas City and is expected to sign, per Rapoport.
- Veteran linebacker Nigel Bradham's time in New Orleans was short-lived. Saints coach Sean Payton confirmed to reporters that the team released him. "It was a decision we made just based on what we've seen so far," Payton said. "We're going to give some of these younger guys more work." The team also placed defensive back Johnson Bademosi on the reserve/injured list, per the transaction wire.
- Carolina Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson says he's 100% with his groin. He sat out Thursday's practice, but returned on Friday and participated in drills. Carolina waived running back Jordan Scarlett.
- Cleveland Browns rookie safety Grant Delpit was carted off the practice field with an apparent Achilles injury. The team also transferred center Casey Dunn from the waived/injured list to reserve/injured, per the wire.
- Indianapolis Colts defensive end Ben Banogu was carted off the practice field after rolling his ankle, Rapoport reported. Indianapolis waived/injured wide receiver Chad Williams, activated tight end Andrew Vollert from the Commissioner's Exempt list and transferred TE Ian Bunting from the waived/injured list to reserve/injured (per the wire).
- The Buffalo Bills placed undrafted cornerback Ike Brown on the reserve/retired list, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported. Buffalo is holding a workout with linebacker Darron Lee, a 2016 first-rounder for the Jets, Rapoport reported.
- Center A.Q. Shipley will sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Rapoport reported.
- Defensive tackle T.Y. McGill and cornerback Trevor Williams are visiting the Eagles, per Rapoport. Philadelphia waived offensive tackle Casey Tucker.
- The Miami Dolphins waived/injured defensive end Curtis Weaver.
- The Houston Texans waived linebacker Jan Johnson.
- The Atlanta Falcons released offensive lineman Jamon Brown after one season.
- The San Francisco 49ers are expected to sign former Colts tight end Erik Swoope, who worked out with the team on Monday, Rapoport reported.
