Moore, Thomas have fantasy sleeper appeal in Week 15

Looking for a sleeper to fill out your starting lineup? Well, these 10 players could be on the verge of solid stat lines. For more lineup help, check out Start 'Em & Sit 'Em and our player rankings.

Rex Grossman, QB, Redskins: Grossman has scored 14 or more fantasy points in three of his last four games, and this week's matchup against the Giants is a favorable one. New York has allowed 26 total touchdowns and the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks, so consider the Florida product.

Matt Moore, QB, Dolphins: Moore (head) is expected to be under center for the Dolphins this week, and a matchup against the Bills makes him a viable option. Buffalo has given up 18 or more fantasy points to four of the last five signal-callers to oppose them, including Moore.

Felix Jones, RB, Cowboys: With DeMarco Murray done for the season, Jones will step into a prominent role for the Cowboys this week. The Buccaneers have allowed more fantasy points to running backs than any other team, so consider the Arkansas product a No. 2 fantasy back.

Kevin Smith, RB, Lions: Assuming he's back from a bum ankle, Smith should be a terrific option against the Raiders. Their defense has given up 14 total touchdowns and the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing backs, so Smith is worth starting as a No. 2 back or flex starter.

Ben Tate, RB, Texans: Owners in deep leagues should consider Tate as a flex option this weekend based on a great matchup against the Panthers. The middle of their defensive line is patchwork at best, and backs have combined to score the second-most fantasy points against them.

James Jones, WR, Packers: The matchup against the Chiefs isn't great on paper, but Jones is still a legitimate option in fantasy leagues this week. With Greg Jennings (knee) out of action, Jones should see more targets in the pass attack from superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Santana Moss, WR, Redskins: Moss, listed as a sleeper last week, came through with 14.10 fantasy points in a loss to the Patriots. He's a good option once again in Week 15, as Moss will face a Giants defense that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts.

Demaryius Thomas WR, Broncos: Thomas has become the top option in the pass attack for Tim Tebow, who has targeted the talented wideout 20 times in the last two weeks. The Georgia Tech product will also face the Patriots, who have allowed the most fantasy points to receivers.

Jake Ballard, TE, Giants: Ballard has been inconsistent in recent weeks, but he's worth a roll of the dice if you need a tight end in the fantasy semifinals. The Redskins have given up seven touchdown catches and the second-most fantasy points to his position this season.

Bengals defense: Defensive units facing the Rams have scored a combined 61 fantasy points over the last four games, so it's obvious that the Bengals are well worth starting in fantasy leagues in Week 15. This unit is still available in close to 90 percent of NFL.com leagues.
