On the eve of one of the most important drafts in New York Jets history, John Idzik is keeping his options open.

The first-year general manager indicated on Wednesday the Jets could trade down in an effort to fill more holes on their ailing roster.
"I think the real substantive talks will come tomorrow," Idzik said, according to ESPN.com's Sal Paolantonio. "I think we're in a position at No. 9 and No. 13 in the first round to get two really good players, but it also opens up the gates for potential alternatives, potentially trading down and picking up more players. We'll be open minded about it. This is a very deep draft."
Will the Jets target a quarterback? Idzik wouldn't specify what positions are being targeted, but added "we would not be adverse to picking any player if our evaluation determines that is the best talent available when we pick."
This isn't believed to be a strong quarterback class, but the Jets have taken interest in Syracuse's Ryan Nassib. Paolantonio reported Jets offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg worked out Nassib and believes he'd be a good fit in a West Coast-style offense.
