Who was the Fantasy Player of the Week? Vote on the top performers and decide who was the most valuable player!
Cam Newton, QB, Panthers
This just in ... Newton is pretty good. The rookie out of Auburn had another huge game, posting 374 passing yards, 35 rushing yards and a combined three touchdowns in a 34-29 loss to the Bears. He scored on runs of 1 and 2 yards, and added a 3-yard touchdown pass to Greg Olsen in the fourth quarter. Outside of last week's game against the Jaguars that included a torrential rain storm, Newton has averaged a ridiculous 29.9 fantasy points on NFL.com. Unless you have an elite signal-caller on your fantasy roster, Newton must be active in most leagues next week against the Saints.
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers
The top-rated quarterback on NFL.com this season, Rodgers single-handedly helped a lot of fantasy owners win their game in Week 4. The superstar quarterback threw for 408 yards, rushed for another 36 yards and scored a combined six touchdowns in a blowout win over the Broncos. Rodgers found the end zone on a 50-yard pass to Jordy Nelson, a 17-yard connection with Greg Jennings, a 16-yarder to James Jones, an 8-yard pass to Donald Driver and runs of 11 and 8 yards. In all, he scored a ridiculous 45.92 fantasy points on NFL.com -- that's the most by a player this season.
Michael Vick, QB, Eagles
Despite playing with an injured right hand and being pressured throughout the contest, Vick proved why he needs to be active in the majority of fantasy leagues week in and week out. The versatile quarterback put up a huge stat line against the 49ers, posting 416 passing yards, 75 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a 24-23 loss. His scores came on a 16-yard pass to Clay Harbor and a 5-yard connection with LeSean McCoy, both of which came in the first half. Next on the schedule is a date with the Bills and their weak defense, so be sure to keep Vick active for that solid matchup.
Matt Forte, RB, Bears
Forte might not be Adrian Peterson, but he is moving up the running back rankings as one of the top players at his position. The Tulane product went off against the Panthers, recording an impressive 228 scrimmage yards and one touchdown in 34-29 win. His score came on a 17-yard run in the second quarter, which was the Bears' first offensive touchdown of the game. Forte has now scored at least 16.60 fantasy points and hit the 20-point mark twice in his four games. The centerpiece for coordinator Mike Martz, Forte has become a must-start runner in most leagues.
Beanie Wells, RB, Cardinals
Wells, who missed last week with a bum hamstring, returned to the field with a vengeance against the Giants in a 31-27 loss. The Ohio State product rushed for 138 yards and found the end zone three times, scoring touchdowns on rushes of 1, 1 and 2 yards in what was the best fantasy game of his career. The clear-cut featured back for coach Ken Whisenhunt, Wells is now on pace to finish the year with better than 1,500 yards on the ground in 2011. Consider him a high-end No. 2 fantasy back in Week 5 against the Vikings, who no longer field one of the league's elite run defense.
