NFL Fantasy 2024 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Kickers for Week 8

Fairbairn stayed hot last week, with 12 fantasy points against the Packers. He has now scored 11 or more fantasy points in three straight and five of seven games. He had two poor games, but it's been mostly very good for Fairbairn. He has been far too productive and is tied to too good an offense to get away from. Start him weekly. 

Last week was disappointing, as Koo finished with just two fantasy points. It was his worst game of the season. But he did score 12, 16 and 18 in the three weeks prior. The upside is high, and we know Koo is a reliable kicker. His offense held him back last week, but I won't bank on that happening this week against the Bucs. Keep riding with Koo. 

Last week was not the best game for McLaughlin. A missed 55-yard kick really changed his potential outcome. He still has topped 10 fantasy points in four games and shown to have a high ceiling. Plus, he has a great matchup this week, as the Falcons have allowed the most fantasy PPG to kickers this season. McLaughlin got them for a season-high 16 points when they played in Week 5. Start him. 

Everyone needs to check the waiver wire for Seibert before it's too late. His roster percentage has increased, but he still remains widely available. He shouldn’t be. Seibert has scored double digits in all but one game -- and he had eight in that lone outlier. That is such a safe floor for a kicker. But he also brings upside, logging games with 16 and 21 fantasy points. Scoop him up if available!

Lutz is coming off his best game of the season with 17 fantasy points. It was his fourth week in double digits and third with 12 or more. The floor is not the safest, but the upside is there. Plus, the Panthers allow a ton of points each week and have struggled fantasy-wise against kickers. You can take a shot on Lutz this week. 

McPherson is a good real-life kicker, but that has not translated to fantasy points this season. He has scored five fantasy points or fewer in each of the last three weeks -- largely because he has only made one field goal. He has finished in single digits in five of seven games. The floor is too low, so you can get away in a tough matchup against the Eagles. 

It was a bounce-back week for Bass, as he finished with 10 fantasy points, but it was just his third time reaching double digits this season -- and his high mark is 11 points. So there has not been much upside and the floor is low. Plus, he's experienced some kicking issues this season. I would go in another direction this week.

The objective in fantasy football is to score fantasy points -- something Hopkins failed to do last week, putting a zero on the board. And he's been in single digits four other times this season. The Browns' offense is struggling mightily. Find a different kicker to start. 

In his last two games combined, Karty has three fantasy points. He has reached double digits just once this season. That's not a kicker you can trust in fantasy. Plus, the Vikings have allowed the second-fewest fantasy PPG to kickers this season. There was once a time where you could trust the Rams kicker weekly in fantasy, but that time is over. 

There was that one huge fantasy game against the Cowboys, where Joseph scored 17 fantasy points. He has 18 fantasy points in his other four games combined, with just four over his last two. Three times this season, he has scored three or fewer. You cannot trust him, especially against this Steelers defense.
