Recently, our crew of fantasy football analysts conducted a mock fantasy football auction draft. The 15-man roster consisted of one QB, two RBs, two WRs, one TE, one WR/RB, one K, one DEF and six bench spots. It uses NFL.com's standard scoring system.

raid-to-drive-up-prices) for Part Two of our mock auction draft analysis.*
What was your auction strategy?
Going into this draft I wanted to have patience. I wanted to make sure I drafted a top ten player, and if possible a dynamic QB/WR combo. There are few QBs in the top echelon, so it’s important to secure one without being financially careless. Knowing your roster budget is CRUCIAL. Too many owners are emotionally and fiscally irresponsible. If you know thy budget and know yourself you need not fear the results of an auction draft. This is the fantasy art of war.
What was your favorite pick?
Adrian Peterson by far is my favorite pick, I got perhaps the best running back in the NFL for half the price of Drew Brees. Owners, don't be scared. Jerry Rice at thirty-five came back from an ACL surgery in 1997, to later crack his kneecap. The following season he recorded 82 catches for 1,157 and nine touchdowns. Adrian Peterson is back.
What pick do you regret the most?
Titus Young is a player that I paid too much for, while trying to drive the price up. This didn't allow me to bid on better options later in the draft.
Did your draft strategy work?
Yes, patience allowed me to get everything I wanted in the draft. I know I drafted a player in each position that will be in the top five at their position at the end of the season.
What do you like/dislike about your team?
I like having a top tier quarterback in Cam Newton, also I get the rookie heir apparent to Cam Newton in RG3. I like having three WRs and a TE that are the main target for their teams. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I like the fact I drafted the Steelers defense and Patriots kicker for $1 each.
I dislike the fact that my running back depth is questionable. I am depending on Michael Turner and Steven Jackson to return to top form. I think that they will be ready to go. It's the only thing on my team that makes me go hmmm.
