Recently, our crew of fantasy football analysts conducted a mock fantasy football auction draft. The 15-man roster consisted of one QB, two RBs, two WRs, one TE, one WR/RB, one K, one DEF and six bench spots. It uses NFL.com's standard scoring system.

What was your auction strategy?
There's always a bidding lull around 30 or 40 minutes in. Most people will suddenly fear the mortality of their dwindling payroll. That's when Dameshek pounces on top-grade stars at cut-rate prices.
What was your favorite pick?
Aaron Rodgers ($64). For the last three years, I've been yammering about about his greatness. I still say he's gonna go down as the best ever. I paid what I needed to pay.
What pick do you regret the most?
Randy Moss. Two-thirds of the way through the auction, I had the most money ($83, $20 more than the next richest) left to spend. Moss's name came to mind. I thought I'd be cute and take a flyer on him for a buck. Oops. Now he's taking up a roster spot and I'm stuck with too much money to spend.
Did your draft strategy work?
The good news: my QB is Rodgers; my TE is Vernon Davis with huge sleeper Jared Cook ($1) at the now-essential position; my WRs -- Brandon Marshall, Jeremy Maclin, Santonio Holmes, Jon Baldwin (Dave's Gold Star Sleeper) and Kenny Britt -- ooze skill and class and other stuff.
The (potentially) bad news: to the exclusion of having a legit No. 1 RB, I invested almost everything based around the "It's a quarterback league" thing. I'm gonna have to get lucky and hit a home run with one of my three top RBs: Isaac Redman, Roy Helu and Shonn Greene. Uh-oh.
What do you like/dislike about your team?
I like the very real possibility I'll get huge seasons from the receivers I mentioned. I dislike having starting running backs named Isaac and Roy.
