The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers have two huge games left this season to help decide the NFC South title. The Flex Scheduling Gods have decreed that we can watch the first one in primetime.
The NFL announced Sunday that the Saints-Panthersmatchup in Week 14 has been moved to "Sunday Night Football" on NBC. The Dec. 8 game will replace the Atlanta Falcons-Green Bay Packers tilt that was originally scheduled as the national showcase game.
This is why the NFL instituted flex scheduling. Instead of a dog of a game, we get two of the most exciting teams in the NFL likely battling for the division lead. New Orleans, now 9-2, heads to Seattle next week to face the Seahawks in "Monday Night Football." That game will help decide whether the Saints stay in the race for the No. 1 seed in the NFC. The 8-3 Pantherswill host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week.
