All Home Stadiums on November 18 & 19 to Participate in NFL-Wide Initiative
In partnership with the NFL, NFL Network is launching Fan Appreciation Day – a network initiative being hosted at all 16 stadiums on Sunday, November 18 and Monday, November 19.
As its name suggests, Fan Appreciation Day is a day during which NFL Network is working with the NFL and its 32-member clubs to thank and recognize the reason for its success – the fans – the most supportive and passionate fans in all of sports.
All the Week 11 home clubs -- Atlanta, Baltimore, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Green Bay, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Minnesota, New York Jets, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle – have partnered to carry out the various elements of the campaign.
Some in-stadium promotions include:
- Banners with fan appreciation messaging displayed.
- Specially-created advertisements running on scoreboards.
- Fans entering receive wiggle sticks with team and NFL Network messaging.
Teams will also feature web banners on the team websites and send “thank you” e-mail blasts to team fan e-mail lists.
“We cater to NFL fans every day with round-the-clock football coverage; custom local VOD offerings and sweepstakes promotions; and community outreach because the fans are why we exist as a network and as a league,” said Kim Williams, NFL Network chief operating officer. “Working with the league and the individual teams, NFL Network is recognizing the passion our fans have for the sport of football. We continue our efforts to give them the ultimate ‘thank you’ by working hard to make sure every fan nationwide has access to enjoy their sport 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
The fan appreciation initiative will be supported with radio spots, television commercials and print advertisements in local home market media. Thank you spots on Sirius Satellite Radio.
NFL Network will be supporting the initiative on the air with messaging in regular programming such as NFL Total Access, NFL GameDay and RedZone. Messaging will also appear in MyNetworkTV’s episode of NFL Network Total Access on Saturday, November 17.
