INJURIES

  • LB Roquan Smith (hamstring) is unlikely to play Monday night against the Chargers, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. Smith was listed as questionable after missing a week of practice.

  • TE Ja'Tavion Sanders "avoided a serious injury" after he was taken off the field and hospitalized for observation after suffering a neck injury against the Chiefs, per head coach Dave Canales. Sanders was at the team's facility on Monday and continues to be evaluated.

  • TE Geoff Swaim remains in concussion protocol.

  • S Jalen Pitre is expected to miss multiple weeks with a partial pectoral tear suffered in Sunday's loss to Tennessee, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported, per a source. Pitre won't undergo surgery as of now, and the exact timetable for his return is TBD. A return this season is on the table, per Pelissero.

  • OL Tanor Bortolini is in the league's concussion protocol, per head coach Shane Steichen.

  • QB Gardner Minshew will miss the rest of the season after breaking his collarbone in Sunday's loss to the Broncos, head coach Antonio Pierce confirmed.
  • QB Aidan O'Connell will ramp things up in practice this week, per Pierce. O'Connel (thumb) is eligible to come off injured reserve this week.

  • Giants HC Brian Daboll told reporters on Monday that he is "hopeful" QB Tommy DeVito will be able to play in their Thanksgiving Day game against the Cowboys. DeVito missed one play during Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers after taking a hard hit. Veteran Drew Lock is the backup.

  • OLB Joe Tryon-Shoyinka suffered an ankle sprain against New York, but the severity of the injury is unknown, coach Todd Bowles told reporters.
  • S Jordan Whitehead is feared to have suffered a torn pec in Sunday's win over the Giants, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday. Whitehead is getting an MRI to confirm the diagnosis, which would end his season.
