  • DE Cameron Sample is leaving Thursday's practice on a cart with an apparent leg injury, per local reporters.

  • RB D'Onta Foreman was immobilized after suffering "a direct blow to the head that resulted in neck pain" before getting transported to a hospital to undergo further evaluation, the Browns said in a statement. X-rays and CT scans for Foreman came back negative, and the Browns expect the RB to be released from the hospital later Thursday and return to the team.
  • WR Jerry Jeudy (leg) participated in individual drills for the first time in training camp. HC Kevin Stefanski said Thursday Jeudy is "really close" to returning to practice.
  • DE Myles Garrett (hamstring) is nearing a return to practice, per Stefanski.
  • DE Za'Darius Smith is returning to practice Thursday after missing the two sessions for personal reasons, per Stefanski.

  • QB Justin Herbert has been diagnosed a plantar fascia injury in his right foot following Wednesday's practice, the team announced Thursday. Herbert, who will spend at least the next two weeks in a walking boot, is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, per the team.
