  • DL De'Shaan Dixon, who will miss the 2024 season after suffering a torn ACL in practice, was waived with an injury designation.

  • LB Pete Werner is signing a three-year, $25 million contract extension with $17.5 million guaranteed, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. The team later confirmed Werner's three-year deal.

INJURIES

  • WR Mike Williams, who was activated from the physically unable to perform list Wednesday, is further ahead than anticipated in his rehab from a torn ACL but will just be doing individual drills and work off to the side for the next couple weeks before eventually participating in team drills, per head coach Robert Saleh.

  • QB Aaron Rodgers was held out of Thursday's joint practice with the Commanders due to weather conditions, Saleh told local reporters.

RETIREMENTS

  • QB Nick Foles, who won Super Bowl LII Most Valuable Player with Philadelphia after starting the final three regular-season games for an injured Carson Wentz and leading the team on a playoff run, announced his retirement on Thursday following 11 NFL seasons. Foles will retire as a member of the Eagles organization.
