  • TE Durham Smythe is signing with Chicago on a one-year deal, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.
  • LB Amen Ogbongbemiga is re-signing on a two-year, $5 million deal, NFL Network Insider Mike Garafolo reported.
  • DB Josh Blackwell signed a two-year contract extension, the team announced.

  • QB Deshaun Watson's contract was restructured to clear $35.8 million in cap space, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported Thursday. Watson has three years left on his deal. Cleveland has now paid off the vast majority of the QB's five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract. Watson is currently rehabbing a second Achilles tear.

RETIREMENTS

  • C Mitch Morse announced his retirement after 10 seasons in the NFL and one with the Jaguars. Morse spent the first four seasons of his career with the Chiefs before playing five seasons with Bills. Morse made one Pro Bowl in his career (2022, Buffalo).

  • WR Tutu Atwell is returning to Los Angeles on a one-year, $10 million contract, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. Atwell's deal includes $5 million guaranteed at signing.

  • S Theo Jackson agreed to a two-year, $12.615 million extension through 2027, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported.

  • LB Cole Holcomb agreed to a revised contract, clearing $4 million in cap space for Pittsburgh, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported. Holcomb, 28, started and played in eight games for the Steelers in 2023, recording 54 tackles. He has not played since November 2023 after dislocating his knee. Holcomb had one year left on his deal.

  • CB Josh Jobe is re-signing with Seattle, per his agency.

COACHING NEWS

  • The Titans announced they've completed their 2025 coaching staff and have hired Mike McCoy as a senior offensive assistant. McCoy spent the past three seasons as Jaguars QB coach.
