NFL to host anti-doping conference in December

NEW YORK -- The NFL will host an anti-doping conference Dec. 1 in conjunction with the Partnership for Clean Competition.

The medical conference will bring together "leaders and influencers in anti-doping who share a common desire to ensure clean competition across all levels of sport," the league said in a release.

Also involved will be the Office of Continuing Medical Education, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

The event's keynote speaker will be David Howman, director general of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). The NFL has recommended WADA to oversee HGH testing, but the players association has yet to approve the testing process, citing a lack of information.
