'NFL Total Access' recap: Tim Tebow's first day with Patriots

Did you miss Tuesday's edition of "NFL Total Access" on NFL Network? Catch up with this recap:

Tebow hits New England

NFL.com's Albert Breer joined the show from New England to talk about Tim Tebow's first day with the New England Patriots. Bill Belichick and company are doing all that they can to keep the focus on the team -- including opening Tebow up to the media, but not allowing them to ask the Pats' new QB any questions.

DeSean Jackson in studio

The Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver and Lindsay Rhodes sat down to talk about his documentary ("DeSean Jackson, The Making of a Father's Dream"), his career and the state of the Eagles. Jackson said that he's able to move around in coach Chip Kelly's offense a lot, which helps set up different looks and matchups against linebackers. He said  quarterbacks Nick Foles and Michael Vick have been even so far in camp, equally splitting reps. Jackson's documentary airs Sunday (check your local listings), and Rhodes has a guest appearance in it.

Players only

Heath Evans, Darren Sharper, Warren Sapp and Jackson had a "Players Only" conversation during which they discussed all things Tebow. Sapp brought up that it's ignorant to say that Tebow can just switch positions, and it does a disservice to other tight ends to suggest that Tebow could just switch positions at this level. All of the guys believe that Tebow isn't consistent enough as a passer to win.

Which receivers are left on "Top 100"?

We teased this week's edition of "The Top 100 Players of 2013" by discussing wide receivers yet to be named and which receiver is the second best in the NFL after Detroit Lions wideout Calvin Johnson. Sharper has Brandon Marshall at No. 2, leaving Larry Fitzgerald out of his top five. Sapp disagrees, calling Fitzgerald the second best, citing the fact that the Arizona Cardinals wide receiver hasn't had a capable quarterback to throw him the ball recently, causing his numbers to decline.

32 in 32: Colts

The Indianapolis Colts were up in the "NFL Total Access" series "32 Teams in 32 Days." Evans went through the Colts' 2013 schedule and has them finishing 9-7, but 5-1 in the AFC South. The big surprise is the Colts beating the Denver Broncos. A Week 7 game that might draw some interest. Maybe.

Happy birthday, Vince Lombardi

Tuesday was Vince Lombardi's birthday -- he would have been 100 today. We asked the guys, who is the modern day Lombardi? Sapp believes it's Bill Walsh, because in order to be like Lombardi, you must universally be loved.

Be sure to tune into "NFL Total Access" Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. ET on NFL Network.
