The Green Bay Packers decided that they didn't want to keepSuper Bowl XLV hero safety Nick Collins on their roster because of the risks inherent in his neck injury. Collins has yet to decide whether he will proceed trying to find employment elsewhere.
One very important person, however, is hoping that Collins decides to hang 'em up: His agent. He wants Collins to come work for him mentoring young athletes.
"And it would keep him out of harm's way. He wouldn't have to tackle anybody," agent Alan Herman told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
If Collins' agent doesn't want him to play, we suspect he won't play. Collins is expected to make a decision in the next week or two. It's possible another team could clear Collins to play. Teams have expressed interest in Collins, but he hasn't met with any.
