Niners QB Brock Purdy (shoulder) limited in practice; TE George Kittle (hamstring) says he'll be playing vs. Packers

A bit of uncertainty precedes the San Francisco 49ers' important Sunday matchup with the 7-3 Green Bay Packers.

Quarterback Brock Purdy was limited in Wednesday's practice due to shoulder soreness and did not throw during the portion open to the media.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters that his level of concern regarding Purdy's shoulder is "not much right now" and his staff will continue to monitor Purdy's condition as the week progresses. Nick Bosa (hip/oblique), Christian McCaffrey (rest/Achilles) and Trent Williams (ankle) did not participate in practice.

Purdy has not missed a game this season, completing 66% of his passes for 2,613 yards and a 13-8 TD-INT ratio through 10 games. He's also expected to get tight end George Kittle back in the lineup this weekend after Kittle, who was limited Wednesday, missed San Francisco's Week 11 loss to Seattle due to a hamstring injury.

“I will be playing on Sunday," Kittle said Wednesday, via KNBR. "Very excited, can’t pass up playing the Packers. I will be out there for sure.”

San Francisco is in need of a win after falling to Seattle in the final seconds last week to drop to 5-5 in a tightly packed NFC West race.

The 49ers face the Packers -- winners of five of their last six -- at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday at Lambeau Field.
