Ole Miss freshman defensive back Bobby Hill has been suspended by coach Hugh Freeze after his arrest Tuesday on a charge of sexual battery, according to clarionledger.com.
Hill, who appeared in 10 games as a freshman last season, is being held in Lafayette County jail on a $10,000 bond. According to Oxford police, the incident was alleged to have occurred last weekend and was reported Sunday.
"We are aware of the situation and recognize the proper authorities are responsible for the matter," Freeze said in a school release. "Bobby has been indefinitely suspended from all football activities while the process moves forward. We take this very seriously and will make decisions once the course of action is complete.
Hill, a cornerback, played primarily on special teams for the Rebels last season.
