Every week in the NFL is important. Some are just more important than others. Here are the teams most desperate for a win in Week 6.
6. Kansas City Chiefs: Teams with 1-5 records simply don't make the playoffs. Not a single one has pulled it off since the playoff field expanded in 1990. The Chiefs need to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday to keep their slim postseason hopes alive.
5. Cleveland Browns: If the Browns can't win a home game against an uneven Cincinnati Bengals squad, it's time to start wondering when they ever will get a win.
4. Buffalo Bills: Remember all of that offseason optimism? It'll feel like a long time away if the Bills follow back-to-back blowout losses with a defeat in the desert. The Arizona Cardinals have the rare running attack that can't push around Buffalo. A win would make the Bills 3-3 despite all the ugliness.
3. Detroit Lions: The bye week hasn't calmed things down here. The Lions need a road win against the Philadelphia Eagles or they will hit 1-4 and start to lose contact with the rest of the NFC North.
2. Denver Broncos: In theory, the Broncos have looked pretty good. They only have lost to "elite" teams and looked impressive in home wins in two games. In reality, a road loss Monday night against the San Diego Chargers would put them at 2-4 with a significant hole to climb out of in the AFC West. Beat the Chargers, and the Broncos would look like early division favorites again.
1. Green Bay Packers: Fourteen teams (out of 152) have made the playoffs since 1990 after starting 2-4. So the Packers aren't facing a must-win situation Sunday night against the Houston Texans, but if they lose, it would mark the first time they were two games under .500 since 2008. It felt like this franchise was past suffering through a stretch like this under Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers.
Of these desperate teams, the ATL crew gives the Browns, Broncos and Packers the best chance at winning.
