CINCINNATI -- Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer will throw in two weeks and then decide whether his passing elbow needs reconstructive surgery.
Palmer acknowledged on Monday that the ligament and tendon in his right elbow are partially torn from the bone. He has missed the last six games, doing rehabilitation in hopes the elbow will heal without surgery. Palmer hasn't given up on the notion of playing this season.
If the elbow bothers him when he resumes throwing on Dec. 7, he will have to decide whether to have reconstructive surgery that could affect him into next season. Palmer said on Monday that the elbow is feeling better and getting stronger with his rehabilitation work.
