Gronkowski appeared on an SI.com podcast this week to promote the "Call of Duty" video game, but the conversation eventually turned to his injured ankle.
"(I'm) walking around a little bit," Gronkowski said, via the Boston Herald. "It's definitely getting better. It's been about five and a half weeks now, and we're taking it week by week, day by day. Can't wait to be 100 percent so I can do what I need to do in the offseason."
Gronkowski injured his ankle during the Patriots' AFC Championship Game win over the Baltimore Ravens after he was tackled by safety Bernard Pollard in the third quarter. Gronkowski was noticeably hobbled by the injury during Super Bowl XLVI, catching just two passes for 26 yards.
Earlier this month, Gronkowski still was seen sporting a red cast on his left ankle during a promotional YouTube video for the tight end's bid to win EA Sports "Madden 2013" cover vote.
