The New England Patriots will be without starting defensive tackle Sealver Siliga for at least eight weeks.
The team announced it placed the third-year pro on injured reserve with a designation to return. Siliga is eligible to practice in six weeks and participate in games in eight weeks.
Siliga suffered a foot injury in the first half against Oakland last Sunday after playing just 11 snaps. The 6-foot-2, 325-pound 24-year-old started the past two games and registered 10 total tackles on the season.
The Patriots also announced it signed defensive lineman Casey Walker off the Carolina Panthers' practice squad in advance of Monday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
