Tom Brady had a response Wednesday to the mounting reports that something isn't quite right with his right throwing elbow: My arm feels perfectly fine.
The Boston Globe reported Monday that Brady currently is suffering from a bone bruise in his right elbow, which might be contributing to his uncharacteristic accuracy issues over the past month.
Brady did his best to put those reports to rest Wednesday when asked by reporters if he's hiding an injury such as a bone bruise or elbow tendonitis.
"I feel great," Brady said, via the Boston Herald. "I feel great. I'm excited about this week. I'll be out there on as I am always, unless they tell me I can't be. I'll be out there. I feel great and I'm ready to go try to play my best football."
The Herald reported Brady has donned a brace on his right forearm normally reserved for tennis elbow and has been seen applying ice and heat to his throwing arm.
And while Brady might deny that he's hurting, his on-field results suggest that something is up. Brady already has thrown 10 interceptions this season and is on pace to break his career high of 14. He also has struggled with accuracy issues of late, though he does have a 102.5 passer rating through 10 games -- the third best number of his career.
The Herald spoke to Brady's passing mentor, Tom Martinez, and he said it seems like Brady is battling pain.
"(It's) affecting some of his throws," Martinez said Tuesday. "But it seems to me, the longer he gets into the game, the more it looks like it's not a factor."
Brady has not been listed on the Patriots' injury report this season.
