The Seattle Seahawks' biggest offseason acquisition has barely taken the field for the team this season. That makes Percy Harvin the ultimate X-factor in Super Bowl XLVIII.
One day after practicing fully again with the team, Percy Harvin was asked if one big play could make his entire season worthwhile.
Schein: Defending Richard Sherman
"I'm not trying to save any season. I'm trying to go out there and win a Super Bowl," Harvin said, via Tom Pelissero of USA Today.
Harvin, who was concussedin the divisional round, says he doesn't believe the New Orleans Saints targeted him with the intent to injure. Harvin believes he "tuned up" his hip at practice Wednesday, but he still needs to pass the official league concussion protocol. Coach Pete Carroll said Harvin "should be fine" to play against the Denver Broncos.
Then again, Harvin has always looked good on paper. His biggest challenge has been staying on the field.
UPDATE: The Seahawks confirmed to NFL Media on Thursday that Harvin passed concussion protocol and has been cleared to play in Super Bowl XLVIII.
