The Minnesota Vikings got Percy Harvin back at practice Friday, but they were without their other dynamic playmaker on offense.
Running back Adrian Peterson was absent from Friday's practice, ESPN Twin Cities reported.
Peterson has been dealing with an ankle issue in recent weeks, but he hasn't missed any games. He enters Week 9 leading the NFL with 775 rushing yards. He was limited in Thursday's practice, and it's possible the Vikings are just being cautious with their star.
Harvin missed Thursday's practice while dealing with a family issue. Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said it was possible Harvin would have to travel home to Virginia to tend to matters, but it doesn't appear that happened.
The 5-3 Vikings travel to face the Seattle Seahawkson Sunday.
