Manning said during an exclusive interview with reporters from The Denver Post that though Broncos executive vice president of football operations John Elway said the sessions were "great," they were not up to his own standards.
"It wasn't great throwing," Manning said. "It's not supposed to be great because I'm not where I want to be. I just said: 'Here it is, guys. If you're not interested, you're not hurting my feelings. You've got to tell me.' It bothers me that I don't feel the way I want to feel."
Manning said in a news conference Tuesday that he was completely honest about his health with all of the teams that had expressed interest in him, so the Broncos had a full picture of his status. He also said he "could" play a game this Sunday if he had to.
However, he is not exactly 100 percent healthy.
"I have some strength that I have to get back," Manning told The Post.
Elway told the Post on Tuesday that the team's medical personnel "feel(s) great" with regard to Manning's health. "I don't consider it much of a risk," he said.
