Philip Rivers isn't feeling well. The Chargers aren't taking any chances.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reported Saturday that Rivers is ill and the Chargers have signed quarterback Brad Sorensen off their practice squad, according to a source.
Rivers, who has never missed a game since becoming San Diego's starter in 2006, is expected to play on Sunday against the Chiefs. He practiced in full on Thursday and Friday and is listed as probable (foot, illness). Rivers will be backed up by Kellen Clemens and Sorensen.
In other Chargers news, the team placed defensive tackle Corey Liuget (foot) and cornerback Brandon Flowers (knee) on injured reserve.
