As families gather for the holidays, the NFL is encouraging fans to start the holiday season off right with a focus on health and fitness.
Each game played on Thanksgiving will highlight the league's Play 60 youth health and fitness campaign. The halftime performance at the Green Bay-Detroit game (FOX, 12:30 PM ET) will feature local children celebrating healthy lifestyles alongside the Goo Goo Dolls. At the New York Jets-Dallas game (CBS, 4:15 PM ET), in-stadium public service announcements about health and fitness will air, as they will at all three Thanksgiving games. NFL Network will air a special Play 60 halftime segment featuring Falcons running back WARRICK DUNN during the Indianapolis-Atlanta game (8:15 PM ET).
The Thanksgiving PSAs, which will air throughout the weekend, will include the debut of a United Way spot featuring MIKE McKENZIE and the New Orleans Saints building a playground, and a new spot with young NFL fans discussing why physical activity and football are important to them. Also running will be an Ad Council piece with REGGIE BUSH, ANTONIO GATES and JASON WITTEN encouraging kids to "get up and play an hour a day."
