Bengals QB Joe Burrow, Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs highlight December/January Players of the Month

Burrow finished a brilliant season as the NFL leader in passing yards (4,918), touchdown passes (43), completions (460) and attempts (652). That came after a stellar sign-off to his season, with him posting 1,890 passing yards (315 per game), 16 touchdowns, just five interceptions and a 111.2 rating over his final six games.

Gibbs finished with an NFL-high 16 rushing touchdowns and six of them came over the final six games. During that stretch, he had 674 scrimmage yards, with 439 rushing and 235 receiving. He also had three receiving TDs, a scoring maven for the NFC North champions and NFC's top seed.

The Chargers are headed back to the playoffs and James is a huge reason why. The safety was all over the field and the box score over the final stretch of the season, producing 28 tackles, seven tackles for loss, three sacks, two pass breakups, an interception and a fumble recovery in December/January.

Highlighted by an exhaustive and exhilarating 92-yard interception return for a touchdown, Williams had an outstanding final six games of the season. During that span, Williams produced 33 tackles, six sacks, nine tackles for loss, two pass breakups and one very big and very long pick-six.

Sanders was a field goal machine over the final five games of the Fins' season. He made a whopping 15 field goals over that stretch, going 15 for 15 with five from 50 yards and beyond. He added six extra points as he tallied 51 points over the final five-game stretch.

A strong finish to a stellar rookie regular season was had by Karty, who drilled 13 field goals in as many attempts over the final six games. Of those three-pointers, two were from 40-49 and three were from 50-plus. He also converted 11 of his 13 extra point tries.

Thomas gave Jaguars fans reason for optimism, as he ended the season in sensational fashion, posting three 100-yard games in his final four contests and exceeding 75 yards receiving in each of his December/January showings. Over his final six games, he totaled 45 receptions for 593 yards and five touchdown catches.

The Packers backer emerged as an AP Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate and closed out a stellar first season. In his final four games, he piled up 30 tackles, eight for loss, two pass breakups, a sack, an interception and a fumble recovery to decorate an award-worthy stat box.
