Pro Football Hall of Fame: Colleges with most members

USC has the most alums in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but the Trojans are in danger of being overtaken Saturday, when this year's inductees are announced.

There are 11 USC alums in the Hall, and ex-Trojans star Junior Seau is among the finalists this year. Notre Dame is second with 10 alums in the Hall, and former Fighting Irish stars Jerome Bettis and Tim Brown are finalists this year.

Ohio State has nine alums, third-most among colleges, and former Buckeyes star Orlando Pace is another finalist.

Two schools could have their first Hall members this week: Northern Iowa with Kurt Warner and James Madison with Charles Haley.

The other player finalists are alums of schools that already have Hall members: Kevin Greene of Auburn (one alum in the Hall), Terrell Davis of Georgia (two), Morten Andersen of Michigan State (three), Will Shields and Mick Tingelhoff of Nebraska (three), John Lynch of Stanford (three) and Marvin Harrison of Syracuse (six).

The "contributor" candidates and their alma maters: Don Coryell went to Washington, Tony Dungy went to Minnesota, Jimmy Johnson went to Arkansas, Bill Polian went to New York University and Ron Wolf went to Oklahoma.

Here's a look at the colleges that have the most Hall of Fame members (non-players are designated with an asterisk):
